These terms of service pertain to all aspects of the Astranata species, its associated world, and any additional species associated with the world. Failure to abide by these terms of service may result in a suspension or permanent ban from the group, discord, and/or adoptables. Warnings may be given before action is taken in the case of minor offenses.
Astranata designs, as long as they have been fully paid for and no chargeback has occured, will never be revoked. However, they can be voided. If an Astranata must be voided, their masterlist entry will be hidden onsite (though not ever deleted.) It will no longer be considered an Astranata and will not be able to participate within the group in any capacity.
Users do not have to use the world and lore associated with the Astranata species, but users must adhere to the terms shown on this page, including terms related to an Astranata's traits and appearance.
Disclaimer
I reserve the right to deny business to users that make me uncomfortable, as well as users with brand new or empty accounts. Please remember that I run and develop this game because it is fun for me- it is not a business. If users intentionally or unintentionally begin to turn this into a hostile space by harassing others, creating or participating secondary community spaces just to gossip about other users or staff, or bringing arguments and personal issues into public community spaces, they will be banned from all aspects of this species.
If creating this game ceases to be fun for me, I will no longer be able to do it.
I understand that people can be extremely passionate about original species and the worlds that they inhabit, and they want their favorite species and games to be the best that they can possibly be. However, I have seen this passion manifest in toxic ways that make it difficult for creators to enjoy their own work. This can kill a species- I have seen it happen. Payment
Unless stated otherwise for a specific adoptable, the only currently accepted form of payment is USD through Paypal.
As per Paypal's own ToS, users must be 18 or older to purchase an Astranata via Paypal. Users younger than 18 may still obtain designs through art/character OTAs or via free events.
Upon claiming a flatsale or winning an auction, users should be ready to send payment within 48 hours. After 48 hours, the design will be put back up for sale, and the user given a warning. Repeat offenders may lose the ability to claim design sales.
Refunds for premade adoptables and completed customs will not be accepted. Users are, however, free to resell or trade their purchased design.
Ownership Transfers
Astranata cannot officially be co-owned. The user listed as a design's owner on its masterlist entry is considered the sole official owner. I will not stop users from unofficially sharing a design, but users cannot sell "co-ownership rights."
Astranata may be resold for the price listed on their masterlist entry. If the Astranata is listed as trade or gift only, they cannot be resold. Vouchers are also limited to a design's listed value.
Sales for any virtual currency that cannot be converted to real-life money, such as Flight Rising gems or Dappervolk potatoes, will be considered trades instead of sales. (ie. trade only Astranata may be sold for the aforementioned virtual currency, but not for deviantart points, which have a USD value.)
Please update your Astranata's ownership via an onsite transfer, and be sure to transfer any associate toyhou.se profiles.
If an Astranata's previous owner did not update ownership onsite, the Astranata's transferred toyhouse profile can be used as proof of ownership as long as the transfer history shows how the design got from the currently listed owner to the new owner.
Newly created toyhouse listings with no transfer history cannot be accepted as proof of ownership by themselves alone. If the previous owner has not updated ownership yet, and the original toyhouse listing was deleted, please ask the previous owner to transfer the astranata for you.
Design Usage
You may use your Astranata's design on other species, including original species, with the following caveats- all versions of the design must travel together. You cannot sell one version and keep another. If you add the design to another original species, that species must allow outside designs to be brought in.
Once an Astranata is made, they cannot be removed from the masterlist entirely. If they are voided due to broken ToS, they will be hidden from the masterlist and a note made on their page to denote their voided status. Voided designs cannot come back to the species. (1/1/2022)
The owner of an Astranata may request that their Astranata be deactivated. This functions exactly like voiding, and deactivated Astranata will not be able to join group activities- however, an Astranata that was willingly deactivated by their owner can be returned to the species at any time. The Astranata can be returned to the species by the owner who deactivated them, or if they were traded, by the new owner. (1/1/2022)
You may create charms/shirts/other physical merch of your Astranata as long as they are produced in limited quantity and intended mostly for your personal enjoyment. Do not mass produce merchandise of your Astranata to turn a profit. The art must be your own, or art used with explicit permission from the artist. My art cannot be used for any physical merchandise.
Astranata may be included in videos, games, or comics made for your own personal enjoyment. If the media you are creating is behind a paywall of any kind and/or exists for profit, you may not use your Astranata in that media.
Using my designs to promote hate speech or bigotry is not allowed, and if I find such design usage, users will risk being permanently banned from the world, species, and all of my other work.
Design Alterations
Basic changes to your Astranata's design are free and do not require any item, but the design must be roughly 80% the same. It should still be recognizable as the original. Additional design changes must still be 80% the same as the original design- users cannot slowly change the design over and over until it no longer resembles the original at all. More extreme design changes will require the use of an item.
An Astranata's traits cannot be changed without an item, but you are free to alter them within the bounds of those traits with no item use. Example: If an Astranata has Notched ears, you can completely change how they're shaped as long as they still visibly have the Notched trait.
A tuft of hair/fur on the head is not considered any kind of trait, and is free to add without any items. This tuft of hair/fur cannot be so long that it goes past the Astranata's jaw. It may be any color, but should be closer in appearance to a horse's forelock than to any human hairstyle.
To change your Astranata's design, please send a message to the Masterlist with the image you would like to use as your Astranata's new masterlist image, as well as a link to their ML entry.
Group Conduct
Do not harass other users for any reason. Block-evading, unsolicited ads or requests, and spamming a users DMs are considered forms of harassment.
Begging for designs, items, or currency is not allowed.
Discussion of potentially triggering concepts must be behind a spoiler with a warning. If a user asks you to spoiler something next time, please respect that.
If you are having a personal conflict with another user, please begin by blocking them. If they use Astranata-related channels to evade that block, please notify osteoh right away so action can be taken.
