Rarities

Basic traits are extremely common, and have their origin traced back to the various Astraeic kingdoms. They're so common, it's more unusual for an astranata to have no basic traits at all. Each basic trait has an origin point- Petalfall, Solistead, Stormveil, or Cragholme.

Oddities are, like the name implies, unusual traits. They aren't so strange as to make others stare or cause an astranata to stick out like a sore paw, but they are fairly uncommon in the general populace. You won't forget the face of an astranata with an oddity, that's for sure!

Blessings are very rare, owing to their origin. They are seen only on those who have been touched by godly magic, or are descended from one such astranata. Certain blessings are known to be associated with specific gods, while others are considered more general.

Although incredibly rare, some unlucky astranata bear a hex. Hexes are usually seen on cursed astranata, such as liches or revenants, but can sadly be passed down to their children as well. Cursed astranata are normally infertile due to their immortal nature, but accidents have been known to happen...

Ancestral traits are highly unusual traits that break the usual "rules" of the species, and are typically only ever seen on a handful of Astranata (and possibly their descendants.) Two Astranata with the same Ancestral trait cannot produce offspring together.
