Species

Oft misunderstood denizens of the continent of Astrae, and extremely formidable wielders of its magic. Although they mostly keep to forested areas and other places out of the way of human civilization, they're a hardy species with the capacity to survive just about anywhere on the continent. Humans, for their part, tend to see them as vermin or pests- albeit dangerous ones that should only be approached with caution. The astranata themselves are mostly content to spend their days eating and sleeping. Even the most ambitious astranata usually keep their antics simple, using magic to sneak into human barns to snack on lettuce and grains.

The Age of the Arcane has been over for a long, long time- no astranata lives today that remembers it. The Age where astranata lived for exploration, excitement, and growth. They have the potential to be so much more than they are... If only they would realize it, themselves.

Large, powerful herd animals that can be found all across northeastern Astrae. Their calm temperament and bulk has made them a favored companion of humans, and tamed Lunestags can be found wherever human settlements are. Humans will use them to pull carts or ride upon their backs for long journeys.

It's uncommon for an astranata to bond with a Lunestag, as their paths don't frequently cross- this typically happens if a tame Lunestag wanders away from their human settlement in search of greener pastures.
