Just your average Astranata!

Feared and hated, these grotesque creatures were once mortal Astranata. They became twisted and warped by their own abuse of necromantic energies, until Geisterloch himself would no longer deign to return their souls to the Ethereal Plane upon their eventual passing- leaving them to wander across Astrae, trapped somewhere between life and death. It is common for liches to eventually turn feral- losing themselves to their hunger for still-warm flesh.

Looked upon with pity and fear, these tragic creatures were once mortal Astranata. One of Lune's deepest regrets and most lasting mistakes. He had only meant to help, to grant more power to a healer that was struggling with the weight of their responsibilities, but the direct touch of his divine magic was too much for the poor mortal. They were granted incredible restorative power, but at a terrible price. This curse continues to manifest today, seen exclusively among healers who have sacrificed their own good for that of others.

Looked upon with suspicion and fear, these eerie creatures were once mortal astranata. Upon reaching a certain level of mastery with physical magic, they found that the more they altered space and time, the more they found themselves being pulled somewhere... else. Not Astrae- or not this version of it, anyway. To keep themselves tethered to this realm now takes a gargantuan amount of magic, so much that they need to siphon it from still-living sources.

Both feared and respected, these haunting creatures were once mortal Astranata. Extremely powerful masters of elemental magic, these Astranata have such a close bond to the natural energies of the physical plane that in their final, desperate moments, they were able to use it to stave off death itself. Now they drift through Astrae, seeking to right the world's wrongs until they finally, someday, find peace.

Ancient beings resembling Astranata, their influence has shaped the starlit continent of Astrae in a myriad of ways. They aren't infallible- truthfully, they can be selfish and petty just as mortal Astranata can be- but each and every one of them loves the denizens of their world in their own way.
